Is Dermalight80 effective on virtiligo

Was wondering anyone of you here use Dermalight80 before and would like to ask is it effective. My wife has been suffering from this disease since yr 2000. We are really interested in buying this product thus would be helpful if any of the members here can help contribute the pros and cons of this dermalight80.

The Dermalight80 is based on Phillips medical narrow band technology. Phillip's own medical evidence suggests that 80% of people achive over 80% remission of their vitiligo after around 50 sessions. Vitiligo is difficult to treat and NB-UVB is now easily the treatment of choice for vitiligo.

Just to check if we purchase this Dermalight80 for the vitiligo and we do not need any oral medication. we only use this to sort of shine on the affected area that's all right?

correct, the Dermalight80 is a stand alone treatment, there is no need to take or use anything else.

hi, this forum is relatively new and we can't force people to use it. we receive numerous testimonials and I think they are basically pointless to publish as internet testimonials could mean anything. We have some online on our main web page. There is amble evidence and research available online regarding NB-UVB therapy used for the treatment of vitiligo. If you search the News / Media section of this forum for Vitiligo you will find many extracts from published medical studies - clearly more valuable than testimonials.

One last question - what happen if the bulb got blown off? do u sell the bulb too or were that be extra bulb in the 595 us dollar package? and can i safely say the cost to buy and ship to my singapore address will be 595 us dollar right? and what is the voltage for Singapore?

Hi, yes as advertised on our web page the Dermalight80 is offered at $595 USD including free express air courier delivery world wide. Correct, we can supply 220v power for Singapore. We send to Singapore and Malaysia regularly. Spare bulbs are available from our online store at $49.50 USD plus freight, they are readily available. I would say 50% of people order a spare bulb with a Dermalight.

I just ordered my nb uvb light and expect to receive it this week. I am very hopeful as the success rate seems to be very high and I have read many positive threads regarding nb uvb treatment on other vitiligo forums. I will keep you updated with my progress so that hopefully my experiences can help others with vitiligo.

Well statistical data seems to show that it is pretty effective in treating vitiligo but the personal experiences with it had by some of my friends seem to show otherwise. It seems not to work for everyone but if it work it is great. You really for yourself if it suits you and decide whether to continue using it or not
