OVERHEAT MESSAGE

Hi , I have the Dermaray 311 unit and have been using it to treat my daughter for vitiligo and seborraic dermatitis for the last 3 weeks. In the last treatment I couldnt finish because the comb had an OVERHEAT message and shut off automatically. What causes this? What should I do now? I couldn´t find any reference to the procedure in the manual. Thanks.

Hi jsegovia,

The Dermaray UV incorporates an internal temperature sensor to ensure it is operating within safe limits. You may see this Overheating message if you are operating the lamp for long periods of time whilst charging the unit, we normally recommend you charge the unit before use. Leaving the lamp to cool for around 10 minutes should restore normal operation.
