HYPERHIDROSIS TREATMENT WITH IDROMED4

Our body consists of two types of nerves-the somatic nervous system and the autonomic nervous system. The somatic nervous system is our system of voluntary nerves giving us sensation of pain, heat, and touch besides giving us the control of our muscles helping us in movement and coordination. On the other hand, the autonomic nervous system is not under our control and is responsible for our breathing rate, the beating of our heart or the production of sweat that regulates our body temperature.

The autonomic nervous system is further branched into two parts-the sympathetic and the parasympathetic systems. The production of sweat is controlled by the sympathetic nervous system.

Have you ever thought why is sweating important for our body. Well, it is required to regulate our body temperature. The secretion of sweat is governed by our Sympathetic Nervous System. But the problem is that in around one percent of our population, this machinery works over time and produces much more sweat than is necessary for body temperature regulation. This condition is termed as Hyperhidrosis which means excessive sweating.

Hyperhidrosis can actually hamper the day to day activities of a person. It could be brought out by stress, emotional upheaval, or exercise but in some cases it is automatic. So, patients with palmar hyperhidrosis find their hands wet and moist that actually creates problems in grasping anything. What is more, they find difficulty in shaking hands because that leaves the other persons hand moist. Similarly, people suffering from auxiliary hyperhidrosis sweat excessively from their underarms that stains continually. Hyperhidrosis often causes distress and embarrassment and has been proven as a socil disadvantage in employment and relationships. There is also a case of plantar hyperhidrosis which is the case of excessive sweating of the feet and results in moist socks and shoes and also feet odor.

Treatment of Hyperhidrosis with iontophoresis devices: IDROMED 4

This iontophoresis treatment with Idromed 4 involves treatment using hand and foot baths and optional arm pit pads. The body parts are put in the treatment basin which is filled with the general tap water. Through electrodes a weak DC current is passed in the water and the current is gradually increased to a certain limit and it gives a pleasant tingling sensation to the patient. What this weak current does is that it prevents sweat secretion without actually damaging the sweat glands.

In the arm pits, this current is applied through wet sponge electrodes. The water basin could easily be folded away to a storage container. When you start treatment, the affected part should be treated once a day for about ten to fifteen minutes. Usually, after ten to fifteen times, the moisture content becomes normalized and then you can use the treatment once or twice a week or when it is required.

The best thing about Idromed4, an electronic iontophoresis treatment device for hyperhidrosis, is that it has been made keeping in mind the problems that other devices come with. So, you would never get electric shocks as is common with other such devices. It is most useful and most convenient to use. The Idromed4 is the most advanced, most reliable and safest form of electronic therapy for hyperhidrosis. Given the pain and complications of surgery, Idromed 4 is extremely popular as no drugs or surgery are required.
