Hey Waffnap what a fantastic story. Who would of thought that an employer would give you compensation because you suffer terribly with a skin condition like ours. I find that astounding. Must be a fantastic company to work for and they obviously think highly of him/her.

Hi Lisaw
Yes it's wonderful news for my colleague and although we do work for a fantastic company it's not them that is funding her Fayre's.
DWP, sort of deal with all issues like state benefit, national Insurance contributions and employment matters. In a nutshell she explained to them she would have to finish work because of her disability and there was no way she could afford the expense of running a car. I suppose rather than the state keep her they are keeping her in work and making it possible by funding the taxi Fayre's. In the long run it would be cheaper for them, I can only assume that's how they are looking at it. But none the less she is over the moon that she is able to still continue her employment. In her determination and desperation she contacted them not really expecting any help whatsoever.
It just shows that sometimes if you don't ask you don't get.
regards
Jules
