I've researched on some tips on how to lose weight. I've already started on a diet last week consisting of 5-6 light meals a day. I count my calories and I do moderate workouts once or twice a day. I cheat during weekends. This is my first time going on a diet and I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right. I would like to ask if I should join fitness programs like Weight Watchers or JennyCraig etc.

The only way to safely lose weight is consume less calories than your body burns.

Good information. According to my research exercise and diet both are important tools to lose weight. If we eat simple food and do exercise everyday then we can easily reduce weight
