hello,

wow, another cure from India for an incurable condition. please refrain from posting mistleading rubbish. At least weekly these claim originate from India. Not a single claim is ever substantiated, no ingredients are provided and a cure is not an ongoing treatment!

G'day Dors,

I must receive 1-2 emails every week from somebody claiming to be a doctor in India with the latest cure. Some even offer to sell me the "rights"to manufacture their products here. Usually from about $30,000 - $150,000, so not much really for a cure for psoriasis  I really think it would be in the mainstreme media, not posted or emailed over the internet if a cure had really been discovered.

About six months ago i passed a chinese therapy shop, outside there was a billboard stating it could cure P....In desperation at that time I bought lots of lotions and tablets to which none had any affect whatsoever on my P. The only effect it had on me was leaving me £50 short in my purse. I was honest with my derm. and told him I would have tried anything for a cure at that time as felt i was running out of options. He had no problems with me trying chinese remedies however he was absolutely furious that they had advertised a "cure" for P.
Nick there's always someone ready to jump on the bandwagon and prey upon innocent people, you must get fed up with it.....

Yes, I have lost track of the number of cure claims floating around. In Australia there are always naturopaths popping up with wonder cures and detox systems. I know they are all a scam, but just to prove my point I put myself through one of these programs which seemed to make my psoriais noticably worse. It involved flax seed oil and copious amounts of vitamin C. There seemd to be some logic in this that apparently your adrenal glan uses vitamin c to make adrenalin and another past time of mine consumes more than the average adrenalin. But the vitamin C tables made my psoriasis swell and redden noticably. Extremely expensive advice and even more expensive products - obviously sold in the same office.

Someone one suggested taking a zinc supplement and that wasn't for me either. It just made my Legs worse and very sore. But on saying that what isn't good and effective for one person may suit another.

This Zinc thing for psoriasis is an urban myth. Any product that contains "Zinc" for psoriasis also either contains coal tar, and acid or a steroid. There is a Zinc derivitive that is used in anti-dandruff shampoos like Head and Shoulders and Danguard, but it only seems to make psoriasis more dry and flakey for most people!
