Hello everyone,
I am so pleased to have stumbled across this site. I have been a sufferer for about five years. I have so much to read through with great interest as I no longer feel alone in my condition after reading through a small section of posts here. I No longer beat myself with a stick and take blame in thinking I have done something wrong in having this condition, I now realise it's just the way I am made. I feel I am in great company and look forward to sharing with others.
Jules

Dear Waffnap,

Thanks for joining and your post! It doesn't matter how many times you beat yourself with a stick, I don't think that is a recognised treatment for psoriasis  But I do know exactly what you mean! We are performing tests on a new series of clinical lasers for the HOME treatment of psoriasis, but currently phototherapy remains the most effective treatment with the least side effects.

Thank you for the welcome Nick.. It's just good to be amongst people who understand and feel the same as I do. You're right about the light treatment being the most effective, especially for me. It's the only thing that I have noticed any significant change in my condition and it's not as painful as a stick :(
